Similar to another game people DIDN'T like?

Does anyone else see the similarities between Madworld and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed?

Don't get me wrong, I love Madworld, it was definitely worth the cash, though it could've been a little bit longer. But if you strip down the graphics and their personal flavors, it is very similar.

The biggest difference is that madworld encourages wracking up combos and points, and utilizes more enviroment, while Force Unleashed involved getting from point A to point B and powering up your character more and customizing him.

They both had epic stories, I love both of them, though they are completely different. I'm not saying they ripped it off, I'm just pointing out that people love this as a well-built beat-em-up, while people complained about and hated Force Unleashed for being essentially a beat-em-up. Part of it is people just trying to complain about Star Wars, just because they didn't like some of its recent stuff.

I guess the art and background of a game really makes a huge difference, not just the gameplay. Well, this art AND background of the story were AMAZING choices!!!!

I don't have it yet, so my opinion might be moot, but from what I've seen, it isn't like The Force Unleashed at all. Granted, I played TFU for the 360, not the Wii, but it seems more in line with Godhand and No More Heroes than any other game.
The Force Unleashed is more of a Devil May Cry/Ninja Gaiden/God of War-inspired game.
Also, I liked The Force Unleashed, and don't really know anyone who didn't. The biggest complaint I recall is that it was too short.

Yeah, I mean, they are both just really creative beat-em-ups, in the end. Constantly pound on a small group of generic enemies, kill hordes of them in fun and sometimes creative ways, move on.

I liked Force Unleashed too, though yeah, it was too short, just like this game, and it wasn't the amazing adventure they promised, lol. Although, yeah, the Wii version, while a lil different, was more fun, the Wii specific motion controls truly made the game, like in MadWorld, though not quite to that degree.

It was a lot of fun literally getting to flick Wookies over the cliff. And it is a lot of fun getting to rip people apart and wildly swing a chainsaw! Whee, good use of motion-controls!

hahaha! yeah when I saw him take down a Cruiser which was out in space while dodging incoming tie fighters, I was like...OK, wtf?
