Default Madworld publicity stunt upsets The Sun (funny)

Madworld stunt in the UK upsets The Sun. I find it hilarious and tasteful! Love it, a great way to drum up more publicity.

I would've gone and snatched one of the copies. ;p

It's not as bad as the God of War II goat sacrifice stunt. The arms look terribly fake, also. Get over yourselves, Sun.

Bwahaha--too awesome

The thing that angers/annoys me is that they act as if the Wii has, and always will be, a family-friendly console when that is simply not the case.

Whatever, though--I bet the person who wrote that article secretly enjoyed watching MadWorld's trailers but didn't want to seem "unprofessional" We all know they did their "reporting" second-hand without getting dirty and playing the game itself.

I take all this as a good sign, though...free publicity for MadWorld And everyone likes a little controversy

I like how the title of the article is "public sickened by game stunt" yet nowhere in the article does it mention ANYONE complaining about it. Speaking of atrocious journalism.

Indeed. The article even includes the following line: “We had a team of people carefully monitoring reaction to the arms, if anyone at all found them offensive we removed them immediately. But we have had no complaints from the public at all.”

Seems like the only one sickened by the event was The Sun...

Once again, The Sun never fail to disappoint. I only wish I was there!

For crap's sake! They say the Wii is supposed to be for everyone, and when a game designed to appeal to an audience who dosen't watch Dora the Explorer comes out it's considered "sickening" and "distasteful". Come on! The Wii is a great system for fighting and shooting games! Using controller motions for finishing moves is one of many underutilized mechanics on the Wii, and point and shoot accuracy in games like Metroid Prime 3 and The House of the Dead: Overkill revolutionized the first-person shooter genre. I, for one, encourage more developers to bring hardcore action to the Wii. If the "we" in Wii is to be truly realized, we need more gamer's games, not more half-assed "fun for the whole family" minigame collections about cupcakes and ponies.

Pretty much what i was going to say.

"AN ULTRA-violent computer game for the family-friendly Nintendo Wi"

Once again, society goes and punches me in the balls with that.
